Alan joined Shine in June 2009 as Director of Production. He started his television career at the BBC in the religious programming department and after cutting his teeth on Songs of Praise he moved to work in comedy. Only Fools and Horses, Birds of A Feather and the critically acclaimed Side By Side. He progressed to BBC Films where he worked with Stephen Frears on The Snapper and with Dennis Potter on his last ever film, Midnight Movie. He then moved to LWT where he spent 13 years working on shows including Gladiators, Don't Try This At Home, Popstars, Hell's Kitchen and Dancing on Ice.
