DIS/CONNECTED
DIS/CONNECTED is a sexy, aspirational exploration of what it's like to be a teenager in 21st Century Britain.
The beautiful and popular Sophie was Jenny's best friend until she was accepted into the 'cool' crowd at college cutting Jenny from her life completely. Jenny's arrogant and misogynistic ex, Ben repeatedly cheated on her and has no qualms about hooking up with a girl at Jenny's funeral. And Emily was too busy having a good time to realise that there was something really wrong with her friend.
Jenny's suicide is the window through which we begin to explore the lives of her peers: those who have let her down, and those who tried to connect. The mysterious and beautiful new girl Paula was eager to make friends with Jenny; her doting best friend Josh, whose unrequited feelings for her are ready to burst; and Anthony, the bad boy gone good from the wrong side of the tracks who looks beyond himself on that fateful night.
DIS/CONNECTED looks at teenage life in all its complexity: dealing with sex, drugs, suicide, friendship, family, relationships and everything else that is all part and parcel of growing up in Britain today. The view is sophisticated - a slick and original show,
DIS/CONNECTED takes a world we all think we know and shows the other side.
